Rathbreaker Overview: What You Need to Know First

Rathbreaker is the first mandatory boss of Act 2, encountered during the "Earning Passage" quest. He is a physical damage-focused foe with no specific resistances or weaknesses, making him a test of your character's defensive and offensive foundations rather than elemental counterplay.

The fight takes place in a dynamic arena where environmental threats and minions add layers of complexity. Rathbreaker's aggression ramps up as his health drops, introducing new attacks and summoning more minions to overwhelm unsuspecting players.

Where to Find Rathbreaker: Location & Arena Setup

Rathbreaker resides in the Vastiri Outskirts, on the opposite side of the Maraketh Bazaar at Raider's Cliffs. The area is randomly generated, but you'll receive a quest marker guiding you to his location after speaking with Zarka, who tasks you with defeating him to join her caravan.

The arena itself is a desert cliffside, with two critical environmental threats: Sun Clan scavengers on the hills above and open ground where hyena demons spawn. Staying too close to the cliffs exposes you to spear barrages, while venturing too far into the open invites swarms of hyenas.

A pro tip: Lure Rathbreaker to the tip of the cliff. This spot is out of range of the spear-throwers and funnels hyenas into a tight group, making them easier to clear with area-of-effect (AOE) attacks.
